XLRI announces Admission for the following Programmes through XAT 2009 : Business Management, Personnel Management & Industrial Relations,General Management Programme, Fellow Programme in Management

Procedure for Obtaining XLRI Prospectus from Axis Bank and XLRI Registration
 
1. A candidate interested in XLRI, has to first register for XAT. The XAT ID and password so obtained are required for applying to XLRI.
2. A Candidate intending to apply for any one of the programmes can obtain XLRI Prospectus from select branches of AXIS Bank on payment of Rs. 900/- for general candidate and Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidate.
3. A candidate can apply for more than one programme, but not more than three programmes. If he/she intends to apply for more than one programme, an amount of Rs. 1500/- is to be paid for general candidate and an amount of Rs. 1100/- is to be paid for SC/ST candidate.
4. Registration for XLRI Admissions 2009:The candidate has to visit the website www.xlri.edu and go to XLRI Registration. Here he/she has to fill in the online XLRI form indicating their option for one or more programme(s). The candidate has to provide XLRI Prospectus number, date, amount and AXIS Bank branch name then submit the form.
5. Once the candidate provides the bank detail he/she can proceed to take the printout of XLRI Payment Advise Form (XLRI PA Form).
6. The candidate has to enclose the third copy of bank/XLRI pay-in-slip along with the duly completed XLRI PA Form and use the special envelope provided with the XLRI Prospectus and send it by registered post /speed post/courier within a week of obtaining the XLRI Prospectus.Mention your XAT ID and name on the reverse of the Bank pay-in-slip. The last date for receiving the XLRI PA Form at the Admissions Office, XLRI Jamshedpur is December 05, 2008.
7. The list of the short listed candidates for XLRI will be posted in the same website by January 31, 2009. The names of the candidates who subsequently succeed in the selection interviews and/or group discussions for admission to XLRI will be intimated individually and also will be posted at www.xlri.ac.in and www.xlri.edu
   
   
   
 
 
 
Procedure for Obtaining XLRI Prospectus from the Admissions Office, XLRI Jamshedpur and XLRI Registration
 
1. A candidate interested in XLRI, has to first register for XAT. The XAT ID and password so obtained are required for applying to XLRI.
2. An applicant intending to apply for one of the programmes has to make a demand draft for Rs. 950/- for XLRI Prospectus.
3. A candidate can apply for more than one programme, but not more than three programmes. If he/she intends to apply for more than one programme, he/she needs to make a DD of Rs. 1550/- for general candidate and Rs. 1150/- for SC/ST candidate.
4. The DD has to be drawn in favour of "XLRI Jamshedpur A/c Prospectus", payable at Jamshedpur.
5. Registration for XLRI Admissions 2009: The candidate has to log on to the website www.xlri.edu and go to XLRI Registration. Here he/she has to fill in the XLRI form and opt for the programmes he/she intends to apply for. The candidate has to provide the payment particulars of the demand draft number, amount, date and submit the form online. Mention your XAT ID and your name on the reverse of the DD.
6. Once the candidate provides the demand draft details he/she can proceed to take printout of XLRI Payment Advise Form (XLRI PAForm).
7. The candidate has to enclose the demand draft along with the duly completed XLRI PAForm and send it by registered post /speed post /courier so as to reach XLRI Admission Office, XLRI Jamshedpur on or before December 05, 2008.
8. XLRI Prospectus will be sent after receiving the request complete in all respects.
9. The list of the short listed candidates for XLRI will be posted in the same website by January 31, 2009. The names of the candidates who subsequently succeed in the selection interviews and/or group discussions for admission to XLRI will be intimated individually and also will be posted at www.xlri.ac.in and www.xlri.edu
Note :
1. Candidate need to register online on or before November 30, 2008.
2. Candidates are responsible for ensuring that their application is complete and all the information provided in connection with their application is authentic and accurate. Any incomplete and inaccurate applications would be automatically rejected.
3. Candidates can change/update their payment details, choice of programme, percentage of marks in graduation up to November 30, 2008.
4. Candidates are not allowed to change the test center after November 30,2008. However, in case of genuine difficulties a candidate needs to send the supporting documents to the Chairperson, Admissions so as to reach the office by December, 15, 2008. The decision of the admission office will be final.
5. Candidate is required to verify their photograph & signature as and when the link is provided to them.

a Business Management Programme: Two year full time residential programme that facilitates learning in theory and practice of different functional areas viz. Economics, Finance, General Management, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, and Strategic Management and Personnel Management & Industrial Relations, to equip the students with an integrated approach to management function and managerial skills
b Personnel Management and Industrial Relations Programme: Two year full time residential programme that facilitates learning in modern concepts, techniques and practices in the management of human resources and industrial relations. It exposes the students to different functional areas of management to enhance their effectiveness

Fellow Programme in Management: The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a Doctoral level (Ph.D.) programme. The FPM is a full-time, residential, doctoral programme that trains prospective scholars to become highly skilled and innovative researchers and teachers in various aspects of management.
